March 17 - First Microdose (2.5u / ~0.06mg)
- Noon (12 PM) : Swabbed my stomach about two inches from my belly button on the right side. Pinched the skin and injected 2.5 units (0.0625mg) - a quarter of the prescribed starting dose. Painless, but there was a lingering sensation.
- Dinner (10PM) : Cautious about eating too much but I also didn't have a desire to. I had a meal of a full bag of mini vegan corndogs (fieldroast) and a 2/3 bottle of wine - normally I'd finish it, but I felt full and didn't want to drink more.
- Late Night Burp Wakeup (12PM) : Woke up in the middle of the night and burped. Noticeable that I still had food in my stomach.
March 18
- 10:00AM : Noticed watery (but not diarrheal) stool.
- Evening – Tapas w/ Alcohol : I feel fuller longer and less cravings for food. I don't feel like I could eat a full burrito but I'm not afraid of having a good meal. Had half a bottle of a delicious spanish volcanic wine (Envínate La Santa 2022) and didn't feel like I wanted to drink more, even though I normally would. Still had another glass and several more drinks over time.
March 19 - Hangover
- Morning : Woke up with a notably worse hangover than expected given my intake. No nausea or other ill effects of the Semaglutide. Still optimistic.
- Noon : Ate a standard portion of noodles with six potstickers. By 10pm, I still felt full - a small burp was noticeably noodly. Zero desire to drink any alcohol, I didn't even think about it, which is unusual.
March 20 - Day 3
- Noon : Still get hungry like normal, but ate a salad and felt full but not uncomfortably so. I'm not thinking about food as often. No desire to overeat. Another episode of watery stool. Glad I started at a micro-dose.
March 23 - Day 6 – Noticeable Comedown (5u / ~0.12mg)
- I continued to eat pad thai until I finished it so it is obvious that the drug has left my system. I would have probably not have finished it because I would have felt full.
- Did another dosed of 5 units.
March 26 - Day 9
- Can't drink more than a single beer or glass of wine without becoming full and not wanting to drink more. Easy to regulate my alcohol consumption. People talk about how this is a lifelong drug, which is insane but I can see why they think that. This is by far the easiest time I've ever had regulating how much I eat. It is freeing in a lot of ways and I don't feel bad getting help to meet my goals.
March 27 - Day 10
- Alcohol is basically at 0 and I don't have cravings. I thought about drinking a beer but easily avoided it, opting for eating soup instead. I can't really put my finger on why but something is definitely different.
March 28 - Day 11 (6u / ~0.15mg)
- Redosed at 6 units.
March 28-31 - Relapse
- March 28 : Drank half a bottle of a ceramic aged monastrell (2019)
- March 29 : The other half plus 2 pints of beer
- March 30 : ~5 pints of beer
Apr 1 (6u / ~0.15mg)
- Body has seemed to adapt to the semaglutide. I do still get full faster but I feel like I can eat larger meals and I don't feel full as long as before. Going to do a booster of 6 units, which would put me near the starting dose.
Apr 4
One beer with family while we waited for a clothing popup to open at a bar. Nobody in my family drinks so it was fun time.
Apr 5
- Noticeable comedown already from the smaller dose. Went out drinking to get drunk for the first time in about a week. Got absolutely wrecked off 4 pints of high abv beer. I was fine until suddenly I wasn't and had to promptly leave the bar. My friend commented that it was 'the most drunk I've seen daniel in a long time'.
Apr 6
- Hangover day which was so much worse than normal.
Apr 7 (10u / ~0.25mg)
- Redosed 10 units at around 5pm. Dosing in the evening is 'better' because you can sleep off the initial sick, or so I read.
Apr 8 - Midnight Terror
- 2am : That night I woke up burping, farting, extremely nauseated. Couldn't continue sleeping because I felt so nauseated. So nauseated that I thought I might need to go to urgent care. Got up to use the toilet and while sitting there I got that metallicly taste in my mouth and was really salivating. I then had to quickly turn around and nearly projectile vomit. The nausea went away and then went back to sleep.
- Rest of Day : Nauseated and extreme fatigued all the next day. Not too bad on the nausea but slept a lot.
Apr 13 (6 Days after dose)
- I ate a burrito and drank 2 beers and felt terrible. Very drunk and felt terrible. I assumed the drug should have been mostly out of my system but it definitely was not. Hesitant on taking more. I also actually dieted this week so I wasn't eating a ton. I think im at the part were this drug is important because i would probably stop dieting now but this drug forces me to be disciplined.
Apr 14 (6u / ~0.15mg)
- First time I was hesitant to redose because of the bad experience last week. Decide to do it anyway but back at the lower dose. I feel like its better to dose less at more intervals.
Apr 19
- Intentionally dieted last week and picked up yoga again. Dieting was notable easier to hit my protein and calorie goal.
- Went to a b-day party last night and allotted myself a beer. I even ate extra food so there was something extra in my stomach. But I was perfectly content drinking non-alcohol beers all night. I've had wine in my house for nearly 2 weeks and haven't wanted to touch it. Really happy with it curbing my alcohol consumption.
Apr 24
Anhedonia after I drank a beer. First time feeling it so distinctly. Feeling the effects of alcohol without the accompanying feel good effects isn't enjoyable at all.
